Roasted Red Peppers



Welcome to the Blog today. You are going to love this recipe. Homemade Roasted Red Peppers are not only delicious, quick and easy but they are also cost effective and delicious.



Start with the red peppers. You can make as many as you like. I put them on Portobello Mushroom Burgers and in salads and other recipes that call for roasted red pepper. Wash and dry the peppers.




Place them on the middle rack in a 475 F. oven for 15 - 20 minutes. They will begin to blacken. Remove them from the oven and allow to cool until you can handle them easily.




Make a single slice into the red pepper beginning just below the stem and going to the bottom of the pepper. Do not slice through to the other side of the pepper. You are not cutting it in half.




Gently fan the pepper open and remove the stem and any seeds.




Slice the pepper into strips lengthwise.
